Review
RHVAC 8 is the latest version of this program, which is a solution designed to help you to manage the complex task of designing acclimatization systems. The work is organized in projects, with which you will associate the so-called systems. In turn, systems can be divided into zones which will include rooms - the calculation units. A system can manage large projects with up to 1000 rooms. Keep in mind, though, that the demo version only will allow you to open projects with up to 3 rooms.
The interface is pretty typical of any other Windows application, with menus, toolbars and windows. On the bottom of the screen you will find a navigation bar which will help you to toggle between open windows, mostly when you have a lot on your desktop. The first step – the data entry – is usually the most tedious and critical part of the process since an error there will affect the results later and generally there are lots of data to be entered. RHVAC provides a graphical interface for this step, if you prefer this method over the regular keyboard typing method. This specific tool is called the Drawing Board and, in a few words, will allow you to enter the required information for calculation right from a .dxf file of the building plans. |
